Informal Learning: Survey Results

The Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp), commissioned by the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), conducted the ASTD/i4cp Informal Learning Survey 2008 during late March and early April 2008. The target survey population consisted of primarily human resource and/or learning professionals who were on e-mail lists from ASTD, i4cp or HR.com. In total, 1,104 responded to the survey, and 522 respondents said they work for global or multinational organizations. Respondents represent a variety of industries, primarily financial services/banking, hospital/healthcare/insurance and services.
